Electric vehicle adoption is taking off. The value of enabling EV charging for your business or multi-unit residential building is more than just the benefits inherent in zero emission electric vehicle use.
In 2022 Canadian legislation came into effect that enables organizations hosting EV charging to earn credits for the greenhouse gas offsets that occur through replacing internal combustion vehicles with those powered by electricity.
Now, the smallest organization can participate alongside the largest corporations and energy companies that traditionally have dominated trading of carbon credits. Carbex bridges the gap between these large players with large transactions by aggregation of smaller credit creators.
Carbex was founded by two professionals, and accountant and a lawyer, to serve Canadian organizations who have made the investment in EV charging and participate in the economic value ascribed to solving the most pressing issue in the world today.
Carbon credits are an important financial enabler to transition our transportation sector to sustainability. The value of carbon credits has steadily increased in line with the difficulty for our society to transition from fossil fuels. That trend shows no sign of changing as the easy annual carbon intensity reductions have already been made. Now it gets serious. We are reminded by a continuing and accelerating series of climate disasters that threaten society and life everywhere on our planet.
Ironically, if society is successful in solving climate change through electrification, the value of carbon credits will decline to zero, and we’ll be out of business. But in the meantime, there is much to do, and fast. We look forward to serving you.
